Bandai Namco released the action RPG God Eater 3 last week on PC and PS4. Before you play that, though, you might want to get caught up with the first two games in the series. The Humble Store has God Eater 2 Rage Burst – which also comes with God Eater Resurrection, a remastered version of the first game – on sale for $12.49 for the next 24 hours.
God Eater 2 Rage Burst received mixed reviews from critics. It is currently averaging a 73 out of 100 on OpenCritic. It is faring better with users, though, averaging an 80% positive rating among Steam users.
The Sixth Axis writes that “God Eater 2: Rage Burst is simply a great game, and it’s a shame that it’s taken this long for it to make it to the West.” Destructoid commented that God Eater 2: Rage Burst “inadvertently feels less like a sequel to God Eater Resurrection than a very substantial expansion.”
