Call of Duty Blackout is free-to-play in April

Activision announced today that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode will be free-to-play from April 2 until April 30. After that, you’ll need to own a copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

The announcement came on the same day that the company revealed a new ‘Alcatraz’ map for its Blackout battle royale mode. Players will get to experience close-quarters combat on the infamous Alcatraz Island.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The Alcatraz map is currently only available on the PS4, but it will come to PC and Xbox One at a later date. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is on sale for $32 on Amazon.
