The deal is for a digital PC version delivered via Steam. The deal is only available at official Steam key distributor Fanatical. A free Steam account is required.
ARK has had a number of free updates this year. In March, Studio Wildcard released the Homestead update, which added new customizable building pieces and improved existing structures. In June, the Valguero map expansion added a 63-square kilometer map and new challenges.
